Counselling Psychotherapy Psychology therapeutic space

Life can be challenging, at times, and it is understandable if your emotions, thoughts, and/or behaviours are affected.

Sometimes, worries can be in your present life or they may be memories from the past which are influencing you. You may be experiencing loss, bereavement, challenges with eating, stress, anxiety, relational changes, job role or identity concerns.

Whatever you are experiencing then these are individual to you and talking therapy provides a confidential, non-judgemental space for you to explore your experiences and seek greater insight and ways to manage.

Therapy and the therapeutic process

Collaboratively, we will use a therapeutic relationship to explore issues and experiences. Your experience is unique

Together we can seek to understand, accept and manage emotions and thoughts in a way that is appropriate for you.

Often, our emotions may need to be expressed, felt and acknowledged and we can consider various ways to do this, using integrative theories and techniques.

Empathy and respect will be present during your therapeutic sessions.

"We think we listen, but very rarely do we listen with real understanding, true empathy. Yet listening, of this very special kind, is one of the most potent forces for change that I know."
